The Obstetric Susie® S500 is a versatile childbirth skills trainer for practicing routine and complicated delivery techniques. Participants can practice providing care through the birthing process from delivery to postpartum care. The simulator's lifelike features ensure participants can go hands-on and practice the skills needed to provide safe and effective care during high-risk/low-frequency events.



It may be used for demonstration of the following obstetric procedures:

  • Ritgen’s maneuver

Great for Humanitarian Projects

Use for high school students and will be taking overseas for instruction in complicated deliveries. Anticipate that this will be very effective!

Pretty good simulator for childbirth

Pretty good simulator for childbirth and Leopold's Manuevers. However, I would have liked a softer abdomen material, to afford more stretch, since the top piece unsnaps with too much fill in the abdomen, which you need to raise the baby appropriately for non engaged palpation. In addition, I wish one of these simulator companies would design a thin, double walled bag with gel inside in which to insert the baby to mimic the bag of waters. This would make for a far more accurate model. There were two babies, both the same size. I was under the impression one of them would be a preemie. Plenty of extra umbilical cords, the aforementioned additional baby and placenta make this a good value.
