The most realistic and versatile wrap around for clinical training in infected wound care and dehiscence management.
The MEDICFX Large Infected Leg Wound Wrap Around replicates a post-surgical wound that has become infected and dehisced. Created with soft, skin-like silicone reinforced with mesh, it provides both durability and lifelike realism. The Velcro fastening and Veltex backing fabric make application fast and adjustable, ensuring it can be fitted on both simulated patients (SPs) and manikins. As part of the Clinical Series, this model is hand-painted by FX artists to deliver clinically accurate detail, supporting consistent and repeatable wound care training.

- Attach Veltex backing fabric to one side of the silicone sleeve.
- Wrap around the skin of the SP or manikin.
- Secure with Velcro fastening.
- Conceal edges with clothing or bandages as required for the scenario.
- Designed for infected surgical wound simulation.
- Represents wound dehiscence with infection, suitable for:
- Clinical wound assessment and documentation
- Infection control and cleaning protocols
- Wound dressing and management training
- Nursing, surgical, and clinical skills education
- Fits both SPs and manikins.
- Ideal for repeatable clinical simulation environments.
- Wash silicone with warm soapy water; disinfect with isopropyl alcohol.
- Veltex backing fabric can be hand-washed in warm soapy water and dried flat.
- Use translucent powder to reduce shine if required.
- Dry thoroughly with a soft towel or hairdryer.
- Store clean and dry, in a cool dark environment.
- MEDICFX warrants the Trauma Kit MP1000 against manufacturing defects for 12 months from delivery.
- Excludes: normal wear and tear (cuts, stains, fading), misuse, or improper cleaning.
- If defective, MEDICFX may repair, replace, or refund.
- All claims must be supported with photographic evidence within 7 days of receipt.
