The MEDICFX Protruding Femur Fracture Wrap Around replicates a compound mid-shaft femur fracture with exposed bone and surrounding soft tissue damage. Constructed from soft, skin-like silicone reinforced with mesh, it provides lifelike realism and rugged durability. The Velcro fastening and Veltex backing fabric allow quick application and size adjustment, making it suitable for both simulated patients (SPs) and manikins. Each model is hand-painted by FX artists for clinically accurate and repeatable wound presentations.

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
    • Attach Veltex backing fabric to one side of the silicone sleeve.
    • Wrap around the skin of the SP or manikin.
    • Secure with Velcro fastening.
    • Conceal edges with clothing or bandages as required for the scenario.
TRAINING
    • Designed for compound femoral fracture simulation.
    • Ideal for:
      • Haemorrhage control
      • Wound assessment and cleaning
      • Splinting and immobilisation practice
      • Trauma management in clinical and tactical settings
    • Suitable for both SPs and manikins.
    • Durable construction for repeatable training sessions.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
  • Wash silicone with warm soapy water; disinfect with isopropyl alcohol.
  • Veltex backing fabric can be hand-washed in warm soapy water and dried flat.
  • Use translucent powder to reduce shine if required.
  • Dry thoroughly with a soft towel or hairdryer.
  • Store clean and dry, in a cool dark environment.
WARRANTY
  • MEDICFX warrants the Trauma Kit MP1000 against manufacturing defects for 12 months from delivery.
  • Excludes: normal wear and tear (cuts, stains, fading), misuse, or improper cleaning.
  • If defective, MEDICFX may repair, replace, or refund.
  • All claims must be supported with photographic evidence within 7 days of receipt.
