The most realistic and versatile trauma wrap around with safe impalement insert for high-stakes training.

The MEDICFX Wound With Impalement Wrap Around replicates a traumatic injury caused by a foreign body embedded in the tissue. The impalement piece is made from safe, soft plastic sculpted and finished to look like metal, ensuring both safety and realism during training. Constructed from soft, skin-like silicone with embedded mesh, the wound combines lifelike appearance with rugged durability. The Velcro fastening and Veltex backing fabric allow quick application and size adjustment, making it suitable for both simulated patients (SPs) and manikins. Each model is hand-painted by FX artists for authentic detail.

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
  • Attach Veltex backing fabric to one side of the silicone sleeve.
  • Wrap around the skin of the SP or manikin.
  • Secure with Velcro fastening.
  • Conceal edges with clothing or bandages as required for the scenario.
TRAINING
  • Designed for impalement injury simulation.
  • Represents a foreign body in situ, suitable for:
    • Prehospital trauma assessment
    • Wound stabilisation training
    • Clinical decision-making on foreign body management
    • Tactical and emergency casualty care
  • Suitable for both SPs and manikins.
  • Reusable for multiple training sessions.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
  • Wash silicone with warm soapy water; disinfect with isopropyl alcohol.
  • Veltex backing fabric can be hand-washed in warm soapy water and dried flat.
  • Use translucent powder to reduce shine if required.
  • Dry thoroughly with a soft towel or hairdryer.
  • Store clean and dry, in a cool dark environment.
WARRANTY
  • MEDICFX warrants the Trauma Kit MP1000 against manufacturing defects for 12 months from delivery.
  • Excludes: normal wear and tear (cuts, stains, fading), misuse, or improper cleaning.
  • If defective, MEDICFX may repair, replace, or refund.
  • All claims must be supported with photographic evidence within 7 days of receipt.
