Transparent Male Catheter Model

Developed as a learning tool for both male catheter simulation and anatomical study, this transparent model allows viewing and practice of the proper insertion, position, and inflation of a balloon catheter. When practicing catheter insertion, you will experience actual resistance and pressure as you would with an actual patient. Inside of bladder is observable. Urine (water) actually flows when catheter is inserted properly. For added realism, external genitalia is made of a special soft material to simulate real tissue.

Model Features:
  • The external genitalia is made true to nature.
  • The pelvis is built-in. You can practice learning the catheter angle according to the bladder's position.
  • You can learn while observing balloon catheter insertion skills and indwelling conditions. You can learn actual resistance and pressure. (Always use a lubricant when inserting catheter.)
  • Urine (water) actually flows by catheterization.

This simulator is for learning basic anthropometry and anatomy, allowing to experience the actual resistance of balloon catheter insertion only. The 16Fr catheter and lubricant oil are included.
