Soft Silicone suture trainer for Episiotomy cuts
This Skills trainer is a great help in midwifery training and is one of our most popular freestanding models. The model has long filaments embedded for strength when suturing and has variable grades of softness within the Silicone.
- Can be sutured multiple times
- Sutures can be removed for a new round of training. Make sure to use a round needle for this model. Cutting needles may damage the model.
- Petroleum gel can be used to keep filaments embedded.
- Additional cuts can be made or more depth or length can be added to the cut. Use a sharp scalpel.
- Bloody lubricant ought to be added for additional effect and ease of suturing.>
- The model can be washed with warm soapy water and disinfected with Iso Alcohol.
- Make sure the model is thoroughly dried before storing.
- As Silicone is an oil based product, it may become a little shiny over time. Wipe off any oily residue with Isopropyl Alcohol. You can use talcum powder and brush this over shiny areas.
- Store away from direct sunlight.
- If needed the model can be repaired with the Silicone Repair kit.
- MEDICFX guarantees that all products supplied will uphold high standards of quality and will adequately serve the purpose(s) as specified in their descriptions. In the unlikely event of a product being faulty or damaged upon receipt, the customer must notify MEDICFX within one week, including a photo of the damage as evidence. If it is determined that the fault or damage was due to manufacturing, MEDICFX commits to either repair, replace, or refund the faulty product according to the customer's preference. Small air bubbles may be shown in the product, this part of manufacturing Silicone.
- MEDICFX provides a six-month warranty specifically for the silicone parts of your model. Under normal, gentle usage, no rips or tears should occur.
