XR-Body Pediatric
Practice the complete pediatric acute abdomen encounter
XR-Body Pediatric lets every learner interview a virtual parent, perform a hands-on abdominal examination, analyze clinical cues, and reach a diagnosis. It provides repeatable pediatric practice without placing a child in pain or relying on costly standardized actors.
- Facial expressions, crying, guarding, and body position respond dynamically to palpation force and examination technique.
- Learners use their hands exactly as they would at the bedside—no handheld controller.
- Objective scores cover examination technique, child comfort, and diagnostic reasoning.
- The 20-case library spans common, rare, and time-sensitive causes of pediatric acute abdomen.
A realistic pediatric abdominal phantom
The full-size torso reproduces the anatomical landmarks of a child aged 5–7. Lifelike skin, removable layers, magnet-based soft tissues, and integrated sensors create a reliable tactile examination experience and allow rapid case changes.
The phantom can also be used independently for pediatric abdominal palpation training.
Featured in Med Magazine Italy
Training Without Limits: How XR-Body Addresses the Growing Shortage of Patients and Faculty explores how hybrid simulation combines tactile abdominal examination with interactive virtual patients, standardized cases, and automated assessment. The article was written by Yuliia Riumshyna, Director of International Business Development at BE.MED.SKILLED, and appeared in the December 2025 issue.
