Koken Suction and Tube Feeding Simulator II

This model can be used to practice the insertion of suction catheters into the nasal cavity, oral cavity and tracheostomy site, as well as suction procedures, nasogastric tube feeding, and gastrostomy care procedures routinely applied in the nursing and caregiving fields.

The facial and trunk regions can each be divided into two halves along the midline, allowing the insertion of suction catheters and feeding tubes to be observed.
The model has stomach-like tanks inside the trunk, allowing nasogastric tube feeding and gastrostomy management using actual liquids. Each tank has a drainage function, so there is no need to worry about overflow when a tank becomes full.

    Features
  • The simulated sputum can be used to practice suctioning from the nasal cavity, oral cavity, and tracheostomy site in a manner similar to actual procedures. (The viscosity of the simulated sputum can be controlled using water.)
  • Tube feeding techniques used in regular nursing care settings can be practiced with actual nutrient solutions. Examples include inserting a feeding tube, listening for air bubble sounds, and suctioning gastric fluid.
  • The model can be used to practice fitting a gastrostomy tube, care around the gastrostomy site, and administration of nutrient solution.
  • The stomach-like tanks inside the trunk have a drainage function, allowing training to continue without having to empty the tanks each time.
  • The model can be taken apart for easy maintenance. The tanks for liquids are washable, allowing the model to be used hygienically.
  • The model can be adjusted to any angle from an upright to a flat position.
